Signing of MoU between KAT CUSTOMS AGENCIES LTD (PNG) and QUALITY STANDARDS CO., LTD (JAPAN) during the PNG-JAPAN investment conference in Tokyo Japan

The primary achievement of the Tokyo conference was our successful engagement with GLOBAL STANDARD CO., LTD. of Japan, facilitated by IPA and Pacific Island Centre, Tokyo.

We are pleased to report the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global Standards Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Papua New Guinea in Tokyo and was witnessed by:

Mr. Heai Steven Hoko -Acting Deputy Secretary-PATS, department of Agriculture and Livestock
Mr. Kelly Sulum-Secretary of Commerce and Industry.
IPA Manager, Mr. Kamis Yalakun, Senior Officer Mr. Ambane Meregembo and PNG-JAPAN Business delegates.

We are deeply honoured to have finalized this agreement under such distinguished auspices.

This MoU establishes a formal platform for KAT CUSTOMS AGENCIES LTD of PNG and QUALITY STANDARDS CO., LTD of Japan Tokyo to work collaboratively in facilitating export and import trade between our two nations.

We thank Global Standard Co., Ltd. for making it their responsibility for forging this strategic relationship. We look forward to further engagements that will pave the way for Papua New Guinea's local products and resources to enter the Japanese market, and vice versa Japanese technologies and goods into Papua New Guinea market and communities.
